Michael Jackson wasn’t just a man—he was a rhythm the world still hears long after the music stopped. Yes; Michael Jackson is America’s Greatest Star but was Loneliest Soul.

Michael Jackson’s biography resembles an unusual melody which began as an innocent tune, reached its highest point, and continued playing with both joyful sounds and notes of sorrow. Being born on August 29, 1958 in Gary, Indiana, in a large family of working-class African Americans, Michael Jackson found himself among eight kids of Joe Jackson. The boy had to spend his childhood years not having fun and playing but practicing and preparing for performances under the harsh control of his father. As soon as the age of ten, Michael got his first success singing as the lead vocalist of the Jackson 5. In fact, his pure and emotional voice showed how great the artist was going to become.

However, the boy had to pay for his unique talent sacrificing his childhood. While others spent their days outside, Michael trained; while others enjoyed freedom, he had to be responsible. All this deprived Michael of his innocence forever.

With growing age, Michael left his gang and embarked on a solo journey that would go down in the history of music. The release of his album Thriller in 1982 marked the beginning of a whole new era for Michael Jackson. Hits like “Billie Jean,” “Beat It” and “Thriller” helped break numerous records in the process of setting up yet another legend in music. The record-breaking status is still held by the album Thriller, and the number of its sales is something that speaks volumes about the man’s genius. However, music alone is not what made Michael so successful.

The dance steps of Michael have always been unique, and his most famous moon walk brought him worldwide recognition as a musician who could be seen as well as listened to. He created such albums as Bad, Dangerous and HIStory that topped charts and pushed the boundaries of creativity. Michael combined pop, rock and soul in unprecedented ways and became a master of music videos that could be called short films.

However, the price of fame was very high. Michael was subject to relentless public scrutiny. Every little thing that he did or said was news. He led an unusual private life marked by hope, love, and loneliness. He had been married twice. First, to Lisa Marie Presley, daughter of Elvis Presley. Second, to Debbie Rowe, who bore him two sons. Yet it seems that despite these marriages, Michael was looking for something more – some kind of peace that he had lost when a child.

Michael Jackson; the Man—the Rhythm

Michael had a particular affinity with children, as can be seen from Neverland Ranch, which he had created. For some, this was sheer magic. For others, there was something ominous about the way he seemed to have found what he had not known as a kid. His life was truly an enigma – worshipped by everyone, but isolated at the same time. Controversies and allegations added even more to his personal troubles and legal problems.

At the same time, he was a person who cared deeply about others. Michael Jackson supported many charities and made people pay attention to social problems with the help of his songs such as “Heal the World” and “We Are the World.”

In 2009, during preparations for the comeback tour called “This Is It,” the whole world anticipated what would happen. However, on June 25, 2009, this anticipation became sorrow because Michael Jackson unexpectedly died. People were shocked by such news because one of the greatest artists and personalities in the world had left.

Nowadays, several years after his death, Michael Jackson continues influencing the lives of millions of people. Young people discover him and become interested in him. Thus, he is analyzed, loved, and remembered both for his great achievements and human traits. Because legends don’t die—they echo, and Michael Jackson’s echo still dances in every heartbeat of music.
